How We Solved Networking for Our Customers
Large Healthcare System
A large health system — consisting of five acute care hospitals, dozens of associated specialty centers, and the largest primary care network in its home state — engaged AHEAD to work with Cisco to troubleshoot ongoing P1 network issues that were severely impacting delivery of patient care. After an immediate workaround was identified, the client further engaged AHEAD to document the current network and to recommend steps going forward.
AHEAD was able to create a network device inventory and document device supportability status. From there, AHEAD engineers developed a roadmap that addressed opportunities for network enhancements, leveraging industry best practices and addressing asset lifecycle management, forward-looking architecture, and advanced network monitoring tools.
The redesigned network introduced standardized technology across the enterprise for ease of management and use, improved facility clinical operations through a reduction in outages, mitigated priority security risks, and reduced operational expenses throughout the health system.
